Synthesis, Characterization and Antitumor Activity of Some Novel Pyrimidine Sulfonamide Derivatives

The key intermediate in this study is synthesis of pyrimidine-5-sulfonamides 2a,b.

Pyrimidine Sulfonamide Derivatives

Further modification of starting material by treatment with ethanolamine, anthranilic acid and 3-bromopropanoic acid yielded the condensed pyrimidine derivatives incorporating sulfonamide moiety such as: imidazopyrimidine 3a,b, pyrimidoquinazoline 4a,b and pyrimidothiazine derivatives 5a,b, respectively, in good yields.

S-Methylpyrimidine derivatives 6a,b were obtained and let to react either with morpholine and with phosphorous oxychloride to give 7a,b or 8a,b respectively.

Corrosion Inhibition Efficiency of Fenugreek Leaves Extract on Mild Steel Surface in Acidic Medium

Corrosion is the deterioration of metal by the chemical reaction when the metals come in contact with the atmosphere or moisture.

Fenugreek Leaves

Steel is used widely as a metal or alloy in various industrial applications and acid solutions are used in many industrial processes such as acid cleaning and acid descaling etc.

Corrosion of steel in acidic medium is common phenomena. Generally the generation of metals is from ores or the compounds which occur naturally with very high energy or large amount of energy.

Antifungal Activities of Β-Ionone, Carvone and 1,8-Cineole Essential Oil Components Against Aspergillus niger Spores

 Antifungal Activities

Many substances have been reported as antibacterial agents and some as antifungal in the scientific literature. The aim of this study was to evaluate the antifungal potential of three main compounds of essential oils, β-Ionone; carvone and 1,8-cineole, against the growth of spores of Aspergillus niger strain.

For that purpose, the spores of the studied strain were exposed to successive concentrations of these three compounds to determine their minimum inhibitory (MIC) and fungicidal (MFC) concentrations against this pathogenic strain by the microdilution method using the 96 well microtiter plates.

The obtained results have shown the capacity of three compounds to inhibit the growth of A. niger spores with low values of CMIs determined for β-Ionone (2.5%), carvone (0.625%) and 1,8cineole (1.25%).

Effect of Green Synthesis Clay Nano Composite Material on Reactive Dye of Methyl Orange

Dye of Methyl Orange

Textile is a leading industry of every country because of necessity of clothes and a textile industry plays a vital role in the industrial sectors and it consume lots of water for their usage as well as they dispose equal amount of wastewater with toxic dye contents.
When textile wastewater is disposed to natural system, it creates major impacts to human as well as natural environment such as human related diseases, pollution of natural system etc.,

So, it is necessary to treat them effectively for the purpose of protection of Environmental condition and also to save humans and animal life. The Ocimum Tenuiflorum (Tulsi) leaves extract arbitrated green synthesis of silver coated nanoparticles (AgNPs) was used as an adsorbent for dye removal.

Isolation and Characterisation of Alkaloid from Leaves of Brugmansia Candida

Leaves of Brugmansia

One of alkaloid compound was isolated from leaves Brugmansia candida. The compound was purified by chromatography column with silica gel as adsorbent. The purity of the isolated compound was tested by TLC, melting point.
The structure of the compound was identified by means of spectroscopic include Ultraviolet Spectroscopy, Infrared Spectroscopy, and NMR. All data obtained indicates that the resulting compound is an isoquinolin alkaloid.
The use of plant as a medicine related with chemistry compound had by the plant mainly the bioactive one. Bioactive compound can be found at fruit, flower, leaf, root, and trunk. Bioactive compound in the plant is a secondary metabolic compound such as alkaloid, flavonoid, steroid, and saponin .

Synthesis and Characterization of Boron and 2-Aminophenol Schiff Base Ligands with Their Cu(II) and Pt(IV) Complexes and Evaluation as Antimicrobial Agents

Characterization of Boron and 2-Aminophenol Schiff
Synthesis, Characterization and biological study of two Schiff base ligands derived from 2-aminophenol and 4 bromoacetophenone (1:1) (L1) and boron Schiff base which was derived from L1 and sodium borohydride (1:1) (L2).
Cu (II) and Pt (IV) complexes of the Schiff base ligands were synthesized. The prepared compounds have been investigated by molar conductivity, elemental analysis, FTIR, 1H 13 CNMR, thermal analysis, UV-VIS, as well as atomic absorption and magnetic susceptibility.
The biological study of the ligands and their metal complexes were carried out against E-coli, Staphylococcus, as bacteria species, Candida and Mycrosporium Canis as fungi.

Experimental and Theoretical Investigation of the Molecular and Electronic Structure of 3-Acetoxy-2-Methylbenzoic Acid using Quantum Chemical Computational Calculations

Chemical Computational Calculations
In this work, experimental and theoretical study on the molecular structure of 3-acetoxy-2-methyl benzoic acid (3A2MBA) is performed based on the quantum mechanical approach by density functional theory (DFT) calculations.

The optimized geometrical parameters were done by DFT using the B3LYP method show good agreement with experimental X-ray data. The vibrational harmonic frequencies were scaled using scale factors, yielding a good agreement between the experimentally recorded and the theoretically calculated values with the aid of a calculation of the Total energy distribution (TED).

The population of electrons in core, valance and Rydberg sub-shells has been predicted. The natural hybrid atomic orbital studies enhance us to know about the type of orbitals and its percentage of s-type and p-type character.
